Graduate Opportunities

We have opportunities for graduates looking to pursue a PE teaching career. These opportunities may provide the ideal ‘stepping stone’ from coaching into teaching and a recent case study shows, can provide the ideal work experience to help secure post graduate opportunities to qualify as a teacher.
Case Study Anna Gatti - Coaching to Teaching

'I have always known I wanted to be a teacher but during my time at University it was apparent that in order to gain a place on a highly sought after teacher training course I would need more experience in the profession.

On graduating I started work at All For Sport, I began shadowing more experienced coaches which enabled me to grow in confidence in my own ability to coach and work with children.

All For Sport helped me learn and practice vital skills necessary for teaching, I was planning differentiated whole class lessons on a weekly bases for a number of schools, using my assessment of the classes to aid in this planning process. In addition to this the behaviour management skills I developed whilst working at All For Sport have helped me hugely in controlling a class both inside and outside the classroom whilst on teaching practice.

Working in a wide variety of schools enabled me to get a greater insight into the different ways in which schools work, as well as building rapport with both children and colleagues with ease.

I'm currently undertaking a PGCE at the University of Hertfordshire and I have no doubt that my experience at All For Sport was invaluable in achieving this position and the success I have experienced throughout the course' (A. Gatti March 2014)
